Luis Martinez

Luis is an incoming Ph.D. student in the Computer Science and Engineering Department at UCSD and a research scientist at the Naval Information Warfare Center - Pacific. His research interests include human autonomy teaming, swarm robot tactics, safe and reliable path planning, and multi-agent systems. His current research focus includes decision support for multi-robot control operators and multi-agent cyber systems. His past experience includes reinforcement learning for autonomous agents for path planning and cyber operations. Luis is a recipient of the Department of Defense SMART scholarship.

Previously, Luis received his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of New Mexico, where he focused on computer networking and distributed systems. In his free time, Luis enjoys woodworking, hiking, cooking, coffee, and spending time with his wife, daughters, and dogs.
