Matthew is an undergraduate researcher interested in using control barrier functions and GP-based active learning to maintain safety guarantees under uncertainty. His work includes implementing HOCBFs and convex optimization programs on physical robotic systems. Matthew studies aerospace engineering at UCSD and specializes in flight dynamics and control.
Outside the lab, he enjoys playing basketball, surfing, and working on mechatronics projects.
